Over the christmas period, I had some time to invesigate the family tradition of being involved in the "Forestry Trade". I found a magical catalouge, of Chestnut Fencing products which my Grandfather and his sister ran, in Liphook hampshire. I just wonder if this trade lead my grandfather to meeting my grandmother, Muriel Hazelgrove. A Forestry trade name if there ever was one.
Here are some images from that "Catalogue"

We will be only to happy to produce some of these wonderful Gates and Fences....but not at these prices !!!
Currently 3 of the extended family are working on a day to day basis within the company, with more family members supporting us from time to time.
Richard Allee - Son of a Hampshire beef farmer. I grew up in the Farming trade attending many local cattle markets and learning the value of relationships and reputation. So I am very keen to establish this new joint venture with my oldest son and other family members along the lines of my Fathers and Grandfathers business. They started trading in Hampshire as Chestnut Fencing manufacturers. This lead to them attending cattle auctions to sell the fencing and buy cattle, as they had a lorry going back to Liphook empty.
For the past 18 years I have been running Computer Software consultancy and training services companies, so I hope to bring to this venture those skills plus the desire to make our woodlands a productive and enjoyable amenity for the local community.
Richard Allee - chose a good day to be in the Office !
Ben Allee - Son of Richard, after leaving Moulton College with a forestry qualification and has been working for the likes of Fountains Forestry, and Network Rail in the day to day process of tree management. Ben is our touchstone for health and safety, operational processing and skill with the chainsaw! His years of experience in the Rail Industry has lead him to an absolute conviction on the correct way to carry out, what are often dangerous operations.
Ben our operations Director
Stephen May - Bens Uncle and my brother-in-law. Stephen has been working in many and varied occupations since leaving Bangor University with a Woodland and Forestry Degree, a major source of the technical expertise that we will bring to the market place. Stephen complements Ben and Richard with his deep forestry knowledge, to explain for example to us and our customers why “Willow” can or cannot be used in open fires. His knowledge goes to the molecular structure of the wood explaining the reason behind the Folk Lore in which wood to burn !
Stephen, using the latest techniques in chainsaw maintenance straight out of the LANTRA training manual !!
A rounded and experienced team who are looking forward to the challenges that our customers will bring to us.
